About me

I am Chef Glori Rivera. Ever since I was in grade school I knew I wanted to become a chef. I grew up cooking with my mother and grandmother, mostly cooking for my family. It wasn't until high school that I knew that cooking was my passion that I wanted to share with the rest of the world. I started at a young age cooking in smaller kitchens and learning a lot from my high school culinary program. I continued my education in Culinary Arts and I graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching with a concentration in Culinary Arts Education. I've worked in the food service industry for over 10 years. I have been blessed to work in many different restaurants across America. I have gained an abundance of experience working alongside some of the most extremely talented and professional chefs I have ever met. I believe that all students are capable of learning and have the potential to grow in all aspects of learning. I look forward to teaching the skills and challenges that are presented in the culinary arts field. And what it takes to go from a cook to a professional chef no matter who you are and where you come from.
